The idea of converting areas including camp sites along Highway 63 through Pecos Canyon into a state park has long been talked about, but to the chagrin of local residents and visitors alike, has never materialized. The Santa Fe New Mexican tells us that area residents and businesses are again looking at a plan to convert the canyon into a state park.
